Listening With Your Heart
By: Ron Sutton
Brenda Pratt Shafer is a Registered Nurse who is fighting for life. She is waging war against the demon of abortion and partial birth abortions.
She has never been the same since a day in September 1993: a day when she watched in horror as a "doctor" thrust surgical scissors into the base of a living baby' s skull. The image of that little baby jerking, flinching, and, finally, hanging limply before her is forever etched on her mind. She never went back to the "clinic," but to this day she is "haunted by the face of that little boy."
If everyone could see what Brenda Pratt Shafer saw, legal abortion would be stopped in short order. Apathetic Americans would suddenly be transformed into dedicated pro-life activists. No sacrifice would be too great to stop the killing. Every lying pro-abortion politician and organization in the nation would be forced to tell the truth and account for their deliberate deception and cover-up.
If everyone could see what Brenda Pratt Shafer saw, we would grieve over every drop of innocent blood spilled in our land. The face of America would be changed; the conscience of the nation would be cleansed. A new found respect for life would usher in a powerful wave of patriotism that would restore the values that made us great. The smallest, most innocent members of our society would once again be defended and protected by every decent citizen in the nation.
If everyone could see what Brenda Pratt Shafer saw, killers would be barred from practicing "medicine." Abortionists would be treated like calloused baby-killers, not compassionate dispensers of choice. Silent pastors and priests would repent of their fear and apathy and boldly proclaim the sanctity of life. The flames of revival would be fanned by a mighty army of zealous pro-lifers, all crying out to God with one voice, pleading with Him to heal our land and to cleanse us from the guilt of innocent blood.
Silent pastors and priests would repent of their fear and apathy and boldly proclaim the sanctity of life.
If everyone could see what Brenda Pratt Shafer saw ... But until moral leaders are in control of national media, we know that won't happen. They are cooperating with the cover-up. They know the truth but they -- like the President, Congress, liberal Supreme Court justices, and every educated "pro-choicer" in this nation -- deny it. They know that little, living persons are being exterminated all around us, day after day, but they pretend not to know. Those who won't pretend are "muzzled" by media moguls who care more about profits than precious little people -- more about ratings than responsible journalism.
They won't tell you that unborn babies bleed, feel excruciating pain, jerk, flinch, and flee in terror trying to escape the instruments of death. They won't fell you that these defenseless, little victims scream when life is brutally stolen from them.
They won't tell you that each one enters eternity with a silent scream: a silent scream heard only by God, angels, and spiritual beings.
If we could hear and interpret that scream we would know that unborn babies want to live. We would hear them describe the horrible fear that invaded their sanctuary on their abortion day. We would understand their horror under the dark cloud of rejection that labeled them unwanted, and dis- carded them like trash. We would realize that it was excruciating physical pain that produced their final silent scream.
But we can't hear their silent screams and they can't tell us how abortion feels! That's why we must speak for them! If we become silent, they have no voice. If we become silent, they have no hope.
Don't let their screams fall on deaf ears! Please do something to defend innocent life.
Project Life exists to give voice to the silent screams of aborted babies who never had a chance at life. And we strive to give voice to those who will be aborted unless we take action. For many years I have been haunted by the cry of millions of unborn babies: It sometimes awakens me in the middle of the night; it often disturbs me in the middle of the day.
What is the cry? "Let me live." I don't hear it with my ears. I hear it with my heart. Perhaps you have heard it, too. If you have, please do something to defend innocent life. Please do something to "give life a chance."
If we become silent,
they have no voice.
If we become silent,
they have no hope.
